IN-STORE CLASSES

Need help getting started? Register for one of our cake decorating classes. Classes fill up quickly so register early.



TO REGISTER FOR CAKE DECORATING CLASSES:

Call to sign up for class @ 908-272-0848. You can then bring or mail in your deposit of $40.00 within FIVE days to guarantee your place in class. We offer the classes shown below in our NEW store located at ONE SOUTH AVENUE EAST, CRANFORD, NJ 07016

All classes are instructor-led and price includes the course kit and manual. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before class is scheduled to begin. Parking: Free street parking available in the evenings & also a parking garage on the side street.

Once you have completed any one of these courses, you’ll have gained the confidence to decorate cakes your family and friends will enjoy for years to come. You’ll also have had a great time sharing the excitement of decorating with other students. It’s an experience that over 4 million people have enjoyed in Wilton Method Courses. Come and join the fun! BEGINNER DECORATING BASICS - COURSE I

The Wilton Method; Decorating Basics Course 1 is the perfect place to start! Your Instructor will show you the right way to decorate, step by step, so that you experience the excitement of successfully decorating your first cake.

COURSE I DATES:
Tuesdays - May 29, June 5, 12 & 19
Cost: : $75 Includes Wilton Course I Kit & Instructional Manual
Course Time: 7pm to 9pm

You will be given a sheet of instructions when you register. You will receive a Certificate when you complete the class

*** There are some necessary supplies you will need to purchase (available first night of class) one can of icing $3.29, meringue powder $5.29, piping jel $3.99 & icing gel colors $2.29 each for the Basic Class

There are many other Optional items you might also want to pick up to make your decorating life a little easier during the course of this class. Your instructor will demonstrate some of those during the class.

As you learn each new decorating skill, you will gain a sense of pride in your accomplishments. Plus, you will be able to share your delicious results with family and friends!

Once the first series of classes is completed you can extend the excitement and fun by taking one of our two other classes, Course 2: Flowers and Cake Design or Course 3: Gum Paste and Fondant Wilton Method Courses.


FLOWERS & CAKE DESIGN - INTERMEDIATE COURSE 2
Your Instructor will teach you to create breathtaking icing flowers such as pansies, lilies and the famous Wilton Rose. Then, you’ll discover the secrets of arranging them in a beautifully balanced cake-top bouquet.

COURSE 2 DATES:
Tuesdays - June 26, July 3, 10 & 17
Thursdays - June 21, 28, July 5 & 12

Course Cost: $75 includes Wilton Course 2 Kit & Instructional Manual
Course Time: 7pm to 9pm

You will be given a sheet of instructions when you register. There are some necessary supplies you will need to purchase for your Course 2. You will find those items listed on your registration paper & can purchase at Sweet n Fancy Emporium. You will receive a Certificate on completion of the Class!


Your amazing flowers will be framed by an impressive boarder treatment or basketweave design. With the skills you learn here and your ability to make flowers in advance using gum paste and fondant or royal icing, you can create beautiful blooms at your convenience, ready to place on any cake.

Your Wilton Instructor is ready to show you how to make these exquisite blossoms step by step. With practice and attention to detail, you will soon be creating spectacular bouquets that will be the talk of the party. You'll also have a great time sharing the excitement of decorating with other students.

GUM PASTE & FONDANT CLASS - COURSE 3

Gum Paste and Fondant is one of two additional courses you can choose; the sequence matter. After completing Decorating Basics, Course 3: Gum Paste and Fondant is one of two additional Wilton Method courses you can choose. In Gum Paste and Fondant you’ll discover one of the most exciting and satisfying ways to decorate a cake.

COURSE 3 DATES:

Tuesdays - July 24, 31 & August 7 & 14
THursdays - July 19, 26 & August 2 & 9

Cost: $75 includes Wilton Course 3 Kit & Instruction Manual
Course Time: 7pm - 9 pm

As you learn each technique ; an artful bow, mum, rose, carnation, calla lily, rosebud, daisy, and embellished borders – you’ll be closer to your crowning achievement: A Final Course Cake that showcases your skills.

The confidence you’ll gain as you decorate with gum paste and fondant will enable you to create cakes that will add excitement to your family celebrations for years to come.

There are some necessary items you will need to purchase for this class that you can purchase at Sweet n Fancy. A sheet of those items will be given to you when you register. You will receive a Certificate when you complete the Class!
